DOCTUM S.A., K.T. GIOKARIS AND Co., is a pharmaceutical manufacturing and commercial company, with its own facilities in the greater Athens area. It has been operating and producing pharmaceutical products since 1968.

DOCTUM's plant is situated on one acre of land and comprises 4 stores covering an area of 5.140 sqm. The premises (office and plant) are located in less than 18 km from the center of Athens, a location which offers advantages, both in terms of recruiting the most efficient personnel and providing excellent service to customers. It maintains an extended distribution network covering all state-owned hospitals in the territory. Hospitals and private clinics are visited regularly, all over Greece.

DOCTUM operates according to GMP regulations. The plant has up-to-date equipment with automatic and semi-automatic machinery, which is able to assure production of products, fully controlled and manufactured according to recent and strict international standards and specifications. The site manufactures the following pharmaceutical forms: tablets, capsules, liquids, creams, syrups, suppositories, injectables, as well as many medical devices, such as haemodialysis concentrates, bicarbonate cartridges etc.

For reasons of better organisation and distribution, DOCTUM founded, its subsidiary company DOCTOPHARMA at the end of 1986. The latter has its premises in DOCTUM’s own facilities and it has undertaken the importation and distribution of dialysers and other equipment for the artificial-kidney-units.
